Poor Nic and Alice! The pair has been very much in love for over a decade, but his rep confirmed to HollywoodLife.com on June 24 that the duo has been living apart since Jan. 2016. Just five months before they split, they had celebrated their 12 year wedding anniversary in Aug. They have a 10-year-old son together named Kal-el Coppola Cage. So sad!

The beginning of Nic and Alice’s relationship was quick and passionate. He met her when she was a waitress at a Los Angeles restaurant where he was eating, and they immediately fell in love. Just two months later, the pair got married so she could come along with him to South Africa while he filmed his hit movie Lord of War in 2005. “You can connect the dots,” said Nic to The Guardian. “And we did it because we loved each other.”
Clearly they did, because even though their engagement was very short, they stayed in love for 12 long, happy years. We’re devastated that it may be coming to an end! However it wouldn’t be Nic’s first divorce. Before Alice, he was married to Lisa Marie Presley and Particia Arquette. Plus, he has another son with model Christina Fulton. We hope Nic figures out how to make it work with Alice so they can reconcile!
