A source told Hollywoodlife.com:”Cara Delevingne seems to be getting a lot closer to Dakota Johnson these days. The pair were almost inseparable on various nights out in New York this week and when Cara bumped into her ex St Vincent with her new girlfriend Kristen Stewart, 26, it was Dakota who she turned to for support.

The source adds, “They seem to be getting along really well and Cara always seems really happy when they are together. It could be just a close friendship, but maybe it could develop into something more. Cara bumped into St. Vincent after enjoying a girls’ night out with Taylor Swift, Martha Hunt, Zoe Kravitz and Suki Waterhouse. However, with Dakota by her side she did not seem to put off by the encounter.”

The stunning model’s romance with St. Vincent lasted for eight months before the pair called it quits in July, after Cara had professed her love for the singer/songwriter in a Vogue magazine interview. To make matters worse, St. Vincent has since gone on to date none other than Twilight star Kristen Stewart, but it looks like she has found a friend in Dakota.
The timing of the new friendship could not be better because Dakota split with her boyfriend of two years musician, Matthew Hitt, 29, this summer too after the couple had endured an off and on relationship. So, it seems that Cara and Dakota could be spending a lot more time together now that they are both single.
