How cool would it be to have a Barbie doll that looks like you? Zendaya now knows! The beautiful teen star has been honored with her own Barbie doll, and we're just as excited as she is about it. See her moving message about the new Barbie below! Zendaya Coleman, 19, may have received one of the coolest honors a teen could get: her own Barbie! The KC Undercover star and fashionista unveiled her Barbie look-alike on Sept. 26, modeled after her 2015 Oscars look, complete with dreadlocks and a gorgeous white gown. Along with an awesome side-by-side pic of her and the doll, Zendaya also shared a super inspiring message to her fans!
Mattel, Barbie’s parent company, revealed it would be creating a Zendaya-inspired doll on its Twitter Sept. 18, but the world got the chance to see it on Sept. 26 when the doll debuted at the Barbie Rock ‘N Royals Concert Experience on Sept. 26 in Los Angeles. After the big reveal, Zendaya took to social media to share her own excitement — and a special message with her fans!
“When I was little I couldn’t find a Barbie that looked like me, my…how times have changed. Thank you @barbie for this honor and for allowing me to be apart of your diversification and expansion of the definition of beauty. Can’t wait to keep doing amazing things with you #besuper,” she wrote.

What a sweet way for Zendaya to say thank you and inspire her fans! But the Zendaya Barbie isn’t just special because of its celebration of diversity — it’s modeled after her amazing Oscars look that received some hurtful criticism. In case you missed it, Zendaya’s rocked some awesome dreadlocks to the award show, and Giuliana Rancic totally dissed her look by saying she probably smells of “patchouli oil and weed.” Zendaya quickly fired back at the comment in a perfect way, which is probably why her Barbie is representing the iconic look!
As if we needed any more reasons to love Zendaya, her #besuper message to her fans gave us one more. We’re so excited for Zendaya, and we couldn’t think of someone more deserving of her own doll!
